TEACHING & COACHING
I offer lessons in a variety of disciplines, at your yard or my own base, Hadley Park, in Whitchurch.
These include but are not limited to:
Working Equitation
Flatwork & test riding
Jumping/Gridwork/Polework
In Hand Work
Groundwork/Horsemanship
Within my teaching work, I consider both biomechanics & psychology, for both horse & rider. By combining the two, I believe we can achieve the most harmonious partnership. On top of this I then consider discipline specific training if required.
No matter whether your goal is to compete nationally, or to simply enjoy your time with your horse, I’m here to help you & your horse develop your connection & progress in your journey together.
At my base, I have access to a 30x60m arena with letters & a substantial set of jumps inc. fillers, an extensive grassroots XC course & a full course of working equitation equipment inc. gate/bridge/bull, as well as a 50ft round pen, 20x40m grass dressage arena & show jump course on grass. Please contact me directly for availability – lesson slots are available most days as well as on days where I host clinics at home.
Lessons can also be undertaken at your own base, or a hired facility. I cover a wide area in & around North Shropshire, but can travel further depending on numbers – why not get together with friends & book a clinic?
Working Equitation Clinics & Demos
Whether you run a riding club, are a venue owner or simply have a group of friends looking to try something new, not a problem! I offer working equitation clinics across the West Midlands & North Wales, bringing a full course of equipment to you.
Sessions can be made up of anywhere between 1-3 people, numbers required may depend on location.
These lessons may be done ridden, in-hand or a bit of both, and are ideal for anyone from those completely new to the discipline, to seasoned competitors.
I am also happy to offer demonstrations to organisations alone or as part of a larger event, providing my own WE equipment & horses, showing how I begin introducing a horse to the obstacles, my own training concepts & the differences between ease of handing & speed rounds!
Demos can be a fantastic addition to a camp, show or clinic.
